Once the transfer is complete, it will be automatically deactivated from your previous service provider.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Double check your old account info, as it needs to be correct in order for your number transfer to complete. But confirm it's not carrier-locked before you make the switch.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The easiest way is to borrow a SIM card from someone (friend, family, whatever) who's not a Koodo customer. Just put it in, restart (if needed), try making a call or sending a text, it'll take less than two minutes before you return the SIM to the lender's phone. If your phone is Koodo-locked then it won't connect to non-Koodo networks.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
