Have you gone in and blocked their numbers? not sure if you are on iPhone or Android but in your settings you should be able to block numbers from contacting you

Blocking texts in iOS is easy. For messages specifically, tap the message from the contact you want to block, then tap on their name, which will reveal the Audio, Facetime, and Info options. Tap on the Info option, then tap on the arrow to the right of the phone icon next to their name. Scroll down and select Block This Caller.

@Melissa_dawn look for the number that keeps texting you in your text history. With android you can click on the number and a menu will come uo to add them to your contacts or block the number.
