I would like to stop using this phone service for a couple reasons after 2 years and I don't care about the $12 credit on my account. I just want to be done with the service. Is there a way to end it sooner? (besides not waiting it out for the 90 days and getting emails and texts about it). Yes billions more in the world have worse issues.
+AutoPay not working anymore
+CC not being accepted
+Needing to get vouchers from stores instead
+9gb of data paid for in 2 months not being used
+Asus ROG 1 (ZS600kl) not using data
^Cannot add an APN, I've lurked the forums endlessly but I see the APN settings to add.
Tired of promoting a service to friends and family that doesn't work

I know that you said that it won't accept the card, but if it is still somehow saved to your account, remove it. There's nothing else to it and the account will eventually close itself out. There is no process to immediately close the account unless you port the phone number out to another carrier.

I tend to doubt you'd get any refund though but who knows.

But as mentioned...just don't pay for your next renewal. The account will suspend stopping it from working. Then 90 days after that the account will deactivate.

You could also put it into suspension yourself using the lost/stolen feature in the self-serve. Then that same 90 days after that it will deactivate.

Turn off autopay and remove your payment card.

But also...maybe the community can help you with some of your issues so that you might be able to stay with a working service.

+autopay and the payment card can be tricky for some. there are data entry tips available

+you can buy vouchers online as well but a payment card should still be able to be used

+quantity and consumption of plan data is all you

+some phones do seem to have difficulty entering APN info but maybe we can help you there too

Your account will be suspended without payment at your next renewal date. 90 days after suspension, your account will be cancel. You have 90 days to change your mind by paying and reactivate your account.
3.

@CH1EF, it sad to see you go. The most easiest thing to do is:

Remove your credit card from the AutoPay section

Deactivate Your AutoPay:

Port over to another cell phone provider so that at least you can keep the same phone number that everybody already knows for the past few years.

All the best to you and your family. Stay safe and stay home

6 things to consider when changing mobile carriers

So you’ve finally reached a breaking point with your mobile carrier. Maybe they increased prices on you… again. Perhaps you saw a sweet advertised deal with a competitor that looked too good to pass up. Or maybe you just hate the customer service you’ve been getting and you’re finally fed up. Whatever the reason, switching mobile carriers can still be a hassle at best and a nightmare at worst.

https://techdaily.ca/features/switch-mobile-carriers

@CH1EF

   I'm sorry we haven't heard from you before this....you should consider switching your plan to the $15 so even if you switch you can fall back on the pm plan if you have issues. The $12 credit will cover most of the plan cost.

   Contact the moderators to add your card and get the autopay going again. Then the plan will be $1. As mentioned you should have at least changed the plan if you couldn't or wouldn't use the data because you've been using WiFi.

     Did you put your model of phone in the search bar? I just did and came up with this solution by @geopublic who has already posted in this thread. Give the solution a try....or you may just need it for the new provider if its not koodo or telus.

     I use vouchers when I find a deal like the $10 vouchers for $8 at canadian cell supplies or I get them at london drugs for the LDX rewards.

     Solution..... Yes that is definitely the issue. Are you running Android 8.1 by any chance? Many others have reported that running that version of Android on Asus does not allow you to add APN entries. The fix is to use a freedom or roam.com sim to add the APN or sideload an app to do it. SInce you have the Fizz** card maybe try adding the PM APN with it.

**for solutions OP from previous thread.

Wow, I'm overwhelmed by the support and should have just asked for solutions instead of trying to abandon ship! I'll do the other sim and then add an APN. Definitely a thing with Asus on Android 8.1. Yes that's the software on it with no further OS updates available. I sincerely appreciate the CC removal info + port info. Not sure who to put as a solution as everyone really helped! Most forums I post on are harsh to others but again I'm overwhelmed by the support. I'm sticking with PM for sure. You all rock. Note to self: Ask first! Also, going with a different phone brand next time. Being on both sides via iOS and Android for years, this is my first time experiencing APN issues. If the CC problem persists then online vouchers are really convenient.

@CH1EF wrote:

What great news! This right here solidifies why there is a community. Everyone has each other's back and when there is a time of need people step up. I do have to say kudos to those that stepped up and offered support when you wanted to step away. Great job everyone!
