When you transfer a landline number, the process can take up to 3 business days. When your number transfer is complete, you will receive a confirmation text message.

I just ported a landline number and I can get texts and calls from my wife’s cell who is also on Public mobile, but everyone else’s texts and calls go to the old landline. The landline number was from tech savvy. I did the port and activation yesterday. Is it just a matter of waiting a couple days for the tech savvy account to close or do I need to call tech savvy?

Allow 2 weeks of dual service; landlines and voip are the slowest to transfer.

DO NOT close your teksavvy account; they should do that once the transfer has finished but keep an eye on your credit card just in case.
