      <description>&lt;P&gt;How long has it been since you ported? You need to give it at least 2 hours to be completed. Outgoing service should be working right away but your previous provider has to release the number before you can receive calls. And if porting a landline to your cell number you need to allow more time and there are some other providers can be up to 7 days!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Once you request the port then Public will assign that number to your account and you will be able to call out. Once Lucky releases the number to Public you will be able to receive calls. You will also receive a text from PM informing you that the port is complete.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Edit: The reason you received a text was because the sender was probably on the PM/Koodo/Telus network.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Number ports can take minutes or hours, but often take a couple business days to complete. CRTC regulations allow MNPs to take up to ten business days but if they're still not happening after so long then something already went wrong. (Assuming you live in some "populated" part of Canada instead of in an igloo next to the North Pole where telecommunications amenities are somewhat lacking.)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If it's partially working then don't panic, it's already in progress. All the operators and networks and hardware and registries need time to sync up&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Rogers owned companies typically take a little bit longer to complete than bell or telus.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; If your port does not complete within another hour and Simon does not want to cooperate you can send a private message to the moderators. Type in "port stuck" in the subject line and include your name, address, email and pin# of your pm account and the phone #, account #, and name on your lucky account. Be sure to tag the &lt;a href="https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/22437"&gt;@CS_Agent&lt;/a&gt; jn the address bar and keep an eye on your private message box at the top right corner of your screen for a little number to pop up indicating a message from the moderators. Responding promptly to messages will speed up service times. However they will not be able to complete your port til morning due to the lateness of the hour.
