Ie xxx &lt;FONT color="#0000FF"&gt;&lt;U&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;yyy&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/U&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt; xxxx. Please check the CNAC website to check if your number is local or not &lt;A href="http://www.cnac.ca/co_codes/co_code_status.htm" target="_blank"&gt;http://www.cnac.ca/co_codes/co_code_status.htm&lt;/A&gt; . Personally, I would leave it and dial 1 + 10 digit number and save it in my contacts. If it bothers you, you can change your number to the desired local area code once each 30 day cycle through your self service account. Stay safe.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;When I call my boyfriends number I am told it’s a long distance call. This is new it didn’t use to do it. &amp;nbsp;We are in same province and have the same first 3 numbers and area code so shouldn’t be long distance. Even when I call him from outside the house it says long distance charges may apply&lt;/P&gt;</description>

For calling from a a cell phone, CNAC wouldn't know. That site only tells you the city that the phone number is registered to.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The city of your cell phone number (that is making the outgoing call) is actually irrelevant.&amp;nbsp; You could have a cell phone number listed as being from any city and it would make no difference. The call is considered to be taking place from where you are at the time of the call.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This means that if you have travelled to another city, or even if you're connected to a cell phone tower/site that's at a different location, it's possible that these outgoing calls really are long distance.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
