my Plan says I have a Black Friday promo of 5G so I wanted to know if this is in addition to my 8.5GB plan making my total GB 13.5GB a month?

This what I see under promotion when I check my plan details:

Black Friday 5GB one time add-on

0 / 5120 MB

It doesn't expire until completely consumed

Data add-on will remain in your account until used up. It is a one time add-on.

You COULD use 13.5GB in a paid term once. Then you'll have consumed that 5GB and the next term will renew your 8.5GB.

The fact that your counter for the 5GB still says 0 means that you have not gone over your 8.5GB.

How much do you use each cycle

You should check the small print, if you will not lose your add-on by downgrading you may consider saving couple of bucks each month.

To get small print find your signup date in the payment history, then go to announcement and find the one with the period including yours signup date.

If you are free to switch, you can always come back to bigger plan when your needs change
