      <description>&lt;P&gt;I would go one step further.&amp;nbsp; Text yourself at the same number that you are sending the text from.&amp;nbsp; This way, if something isn't working, you eliminate all variables that you can control. Doing that means that you don't have to wait for the other person to respond, or for the other perosn to have time to help you out.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also, sometimes there are issues with inter-carrier text messaging.&amp;nbsp; But that's something beyond your control.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Texting and sending an MMS to yourself will immediately tell you if your phone has been set up properly to use those features.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you can send these messages to yourself, this would mean that any issues that you might have sending messages to others are on the network end (and isn't something that you can fix on your own) or on the other person's end.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
