intermittent incoming text delay

I have had an intermittent incoming text delivery delay coming from several phones on different services other than PM. It happens only once every few weeks but the sent message goes from the senders phone and gets lost for a few hours (the longest was this week at 6hrs) then is delivered at a time when it doesn't make any sense. Is this PM known issue? Thanks

@Stanny this sounds like a capacity issue. Every so often the texts go on a text about.

@Stanny You could be having connectivity issues. Turn airplane mode on. Wait 5 min. Turn airplane mode off. This will reestablish a new connection to the network. Hopefully it help.

would this be the case if 99% of sms messages work fine, just the odd one goes missing Of course usually a pretty important one?
