International texting interrupted

Hi all

When I text overseas, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Local texting is fine.

Examples.

1. A person texts and I can begin a texting conversation. However, after a few texts the person doesn't receive my outgoing text, but I can still receive texts.

2. I text the person, who can receive it, but after a few messages, my messages are not going through although I can receive texts.

I have two accounts on public Mobile each with unlimited international texting on 2 different phones and the same thing happens - this leads me to believe it's a carrier problem. Any suggestions?

@Tores Is this for all texts or just mms ones. Is it possible that the receiver has a file size limit on the texts that they are able to receive? Thanks

You could try using Textnow or WhatsApp to see if it works.

That's weird that it works for a while then stops working. I'd check with a moderator on this one. Have you tried texting different people internationally or is it just one person? Could have something to do with the persons phone plan that you are texting?
