Why do phone companies treat their existing customers not as well as the customers they are trying to get should we chance carriers every 2 months ?

Every mobile company will offer better deals to attract new customers. That is the way business works. At least with PM, there are no contracts and you can change anytime. Also, PM just offered the free 1GB data add on and free long distance add on.

My theory is that cell phone carrier sometimes consider the cost of acquiring a customer to be part of doing businesss. Also, once something is a customer, there sometimes tends to be a tendency for the customer to not want to change. Promotion for new customers act as an incentive for them to subscribe.

Public mobile is way cheaper then other carriers I am on 50 with 8gb and now have 2gb bonus

it's all about attracting new customers...existing ones are less likely to leave. Some will leave but a majority stay or locked in a contract.
