I have been using public mobile for one and half years with a 6.5 gb data plan. A few days ago (March 7, 2020) , there was no stable and working internet on my phone during the whole evening. The mobile internet sign (the arrows)kept came and went. I inserted the sim card into another phone, the same situation. Next day the situation was back to normal. I was wondering what I can do if this happen again in the future, in particular it lasts for a long time, say a whole day or even longer . Appreciate any helping response from fellow users of public mobile.

Technology isn't guaranteed to always work.

You can connect to the internet via wifi at coffee shops and such.

You can then use voip apps to call and text on that wifi.

Or of course at home but maybe your phone is your internet provider for all I know.

Download a voip app such as TextNow and use it over WiFi to make/receive/ send calls and texts.

@haoke2013, you had mentioned, "A few days ago (March 7, 2020), there was no stable and working internet on my phone during the whole evening."

On that day, Public Mobile experienced a data outage across Canada. I believe it was down by 4pm PST to about 1am PST. It was a doozy one.

@haoke2013, you were wondering what you can do if this happens again in the future, in particular, it lasts for a long time, say a whole day or even longer. First thing first, jump into the community if you can. Other people or the Oracles would probably say something. If you can't jump onto the community maybe no wi-fi, wait until you have access to a wi-fi hotspot or ask someone else who isn't on Public Mobile and check the community. Or, if you know someone who is also with Public Mobile, you can him/her.
