There's the problem. That add-on is not a roaming add-on for use in the states. You need a roaming add-on to make calls and send texts in the states.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

If it includes data, enable roaming and restart your phone If not, just restart. There is one exception...roaming with roaming add-ons only for in the US. They all have US Roaming in the name as shown on the above image.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Roaming is for use in the states only. Everything else is for use only in Canada.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The $8 add-on is now kinda extraneous to you. If you don't have the $50 plan then you can keep it on your account for those occassions when you might want to call the states from Canada.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
