You will be given a choice of a few phone numbers when activating.

During activation, you will be ask to pay for the first 30 days fee. You can use credit card or VISA debit card. After entering your card info, you will be ask whether you want to use your card for autopay. You can enable autopay and submit your first payment. This is how you setup autopay.

The person who is activating would have to enter your card info, or you would have to be present during the activation.
