There are no overages and no corresponding data add on plan that would, including tax cost $23. Check in your son's self service /my account and see what the charge may have been.

@EkimChew wrote:

My son went over his data last month. I was under the impression that his data would just turn off after he used the 1gb he is allowed. Instead I was billed a $23 topup fee. Is there a way to turn this off?

There is no such thing as autotopup.

His plan probably renewed.

It looks like 25 plan with autopay

Extra data is 30.

Unless there was already bc$7 on the account and he made data purchase.

Can you check his payment history?https://selfserve.publicmobile.ca/Overview/payment/Payment-History/

Reminder: cycle is 30 days not a month, if last year the due date was Feb 12, this year it would be about today

There are no data overages as PM is a prepaid service. There are no automatic top ups for talk, text and data, as well. Looks like the plan renewed with autopay, in which case the charge would be correct, before tax, if on 25.00 plan.
