Hey guys! I recently ported my old Fido number to my public mobile sim after clearing the balance on my old account. I got a text message notifying me of successful porting as well. However, old sim is still active and is getting signal bars. It's been around 2 hours since I've ported. Is this normal? Can I take out my old sim now or should I wait till the sim stops getting bars?

Thanks in advance.

@ShensheiDial your old Fido number from another phone. If your Public Mobile phone rings, then you can take out the Fido SIM card. With your old SIM card, you should still get signal bars for emergency services even after deactivation.

That's a great idea! I'll try it in the morning once I get the chance. Thanks 🙂
