      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello&amp;nbsp; I would like to confirm that I can port a number to Public Mobile. Freedom Mobile was unable port the number. Teenagers have outgrown their Speakout plan so we need to change but they dont want to loose their old numbers.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks Al.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

As far as I know since speakoiuut uses Rogers, the numbers should be portable. However since speakout is a prepaid service, I'm unclear as to wether you would need moderator help to port. I ask, because it's been mentioned here several times, that some Walmart stores refuse to sell SIMs to customers, UNLESS the customer does an in-store activation. I would think that you'd be able to get a SIM somewhere reasonably close by, i.e. if you have a Walmart nearby, I'd think there must be somewhere else that sells various providers' SIMs.... &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":thinking_face:"&gt;🤔&lt;/span&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes speakout uses rodgers system which in general can be ported but freedom told me there was an issue with the 600 prefix or location the number is registered to.
