No, you cannot use your data plan to roam in the US @prameshslm . However you could buy a US roaming data addon 250mb/500mb/1gig for $10/15/20 respectively

No, you can only use the data that is included in the add-on, not the data that you have in your regular Canadian plan.

Another option would be a travel sim like Surfroam (www.surfroam.com) or buying a local sim card in the US

As mentioned, your plan data is for use in Canada only. Unless you have the $60 plan which includes US Roaming, this plan was offered only for a limited time last year.

To use mobile data in USA, you may choose any of the following US Roaming add-ons:

- U.S. Talk, Text and Data Bundle

Unlimited Talk, International Text and 250MB Data for just $20 for 10 days.

- U.S. Data Only

250MB Data for $10, 500MB Data for $15 and 1GB Data for $20 for 10 days.

I'll just tack on to this most recent roaming thread and that it's solved and I'm just reporting my experience so apologies to the OP and other subscribers for the notifications.

So I was in the states from the 13th to the 25th. I bought 250mb and texting on the 18th. I had always understood that day 1 is the day you bought it. So I was expecting it to drop off tonight at midnight ET. Instead I got a text saying it will expire tomorrow night.

I have no way to test it out now to see if it's still working.

I wanted to see the texting bug for myself. I can still receive but apparently the add-on is still active so it's not a test of the bug yet.

I used about 40mb of data. I did a speedtest and it was not spectacular.

Edit: so sometime through the day the add-ons dropped off. Not at midnight ET. Is it possible that it's actually 10 - 24 hour periods from the time of purchase? I can still receive texts though.
