Yep...if your $10 or $15 plan runs out of calling minutes, the add-on will take over for local calls as well.

Better option is the $5 for 500 minutes of Canada wide calling add-on. They don't expire either until you use them up. Great addition to a limited minutes calling plan.

just make sure that if you need the international calling "add on" that the country you want to call is on the list

It can only be used for that if your plan already has talk/calling including. It cannot be used to add calling minutes to a data-only plan.
