Hi,

I have a plan with unlimited international txt. Sending a txt to the Netherlands works but to Australia not. Any idea how come?

Make sure you put the right country and area code.

Are you able to receive texts from Australia ?

Try rebooting your phone.

Omit the leading zero and use +61.

Shouldn't be a problem. Check your country code and area code. Possibly strip leading zeros.

yes , I am able to receive a txt from Australia. When I want to reply I get the message "not delivered"

Will reboot my phone, thanks for that suggestion.

International calling and texting follows the following format

011 + country code + area code + phone number

011 is the exit code from Canada.and US

number I use is correct; still it does not work even after rebooting my phone. I wonder if it has to do with the receiving phone.

@ForrestInstead of replying try sending the text directly by entering the number. If it still doesn't work then more than likely the issue is on the receiving end.

@Forrest I have relatives in Australia also, with the fires and loss of infracstructure in some areas, it might be on the receiving end. Also with everyone contacting loved ones, it just might be overwhelming their system.

@missorangeThere isn't really a list for sending texts internationally nearly every country is included with exception of a few closed/isolated countries such as North Korea.

I am able send text messages to Austalia. I would iamgine that the two carriers involved would have to have some type of agreement with each other to deliver each other's text messages. There's also a n intermediary company involved whenever messages go from one carrier to another. Delivery success may also be dependent on the carriers involved, and not necessarily just the country.
