Follow those steps mentioned for the plan add ons.

If you will be needing larger amounts for data while on vacation and your phone has "dual sim" card slots or even a single sim card then consider purchasing a seperate "pay as you go data sim card"

Amazon offers some for 12 gigabytes for 90 days for 40 dollars. I've used this option for Europe and Mexico and just switched my sim card out. YouTube has tutorials on how to set up WhatsApp wifi calling as well. Although I was backpacking so I needed the extra data and time period. Simple two day trips just use the data add-ons that public mobile offers

@helloguri You'll need to buy the US Roaming data only option if all you need is data:

250MB for $10
500MB for $15
1GB for $20

Recommend adding the feature the morning of you flight so that you'll have the data working when you land. You'll need to remember that these plans only last for 10 days or until used up (whichever comes first).

i went to Vegas for 5 days, bought 10 days US data plan for $15. Everything went smooth in Vegas, no lagging at all. I would highly recommend you buy the pkg at a day before as I was having problems how to buy us data plan online and Moderator team solved it quickly for me. If you're on autopay, you will need to top up your account and then submit your purchase. You can always check the most updated plan information on your bottom left front page. If you have successfully purchased, the US data plan will show up there. Hope this help.

i forgot to mention that public mobile will send you alert message if you use up to 75% of yr us data, another message when it's 95% being used. This really help us to monitor our data usage as if u need more, just buy more data online.

DO NOT BUY AHEAD OF TIME!

When you buy a USA add-on it starts immediately at time of purchase. So wait till you're going to USA to purchase it. Also if you buy at 10pm that is day 1 and at midnight day 2 starts.

@helloguri US roaming add ons are for 10 days only. A couple of days before your trip review your options had figure how much you need to spend. ie. $20 talk/text/250mb Load $20 into your account from your credit card or a voucher. On the day of your trip just before you leave or when you arrive using WiFi (like at the airport) go into your account, plans and add ons page, choose your add on, submit payment ($20), check your overview page it will appear under "my plans and add ons". Reboot your phone. Enable roaming, you may have to manually choose your network either at&t or T-Mobile. If you arrive very late in the day and can wait until after midnight et. Purchase your add on then so you get a full first day of service. Caution...you may have trouble receiving texts for 24 hrs after you arrive back in Canada contact a moderator if it is vital for you to have texting.
