      <description>&lt;P&gt;I recently tried to switch my iphone 6 to a 7.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Everytime I put in the SIM card I used for the 6, its giving me an error message that says I need a new SIM card and it needs to be activated.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;"The SIM card that you currently have installed in this iPhone is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server.&amp;nbsp; Thhis is not a hardware issue wiht the iphone.&amp;nbsp; Pleaes insert another SIM card from a supported carrier or request that this iphone be unlocked by your carrier.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can anyone help???&lt;/P&gt;</description>

But yes, the previous carrier can get the phoen unlocked.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The phone might be "carrier locked" I've used an online service for 2.95 , you enter your phone's "imei" number by dialing&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;*#06# then following the unlocking service's directions.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Alternatively you could call Telus or whoever the carrier is possibly by dialing *611 and explain to the customer service agent you'd like the phone unlocked. They might do it for free&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
