Texts received are delayed

Ever since I've switched to Public Mobile, texts from others are significantly delayd (up to 30-60 min). Sometimes I will text them, then I'll get a flood of 4 or 5 messages at once that were actually sent awhile ago. I've rebooted my phone and removed my sim. What's going on? The only person I text often enough to notice is with Fido, if that makes a difference. No issues texting them on another carrier, so I know it's on my end.

Which plan do you have?

Is everything else working? data? talk?

I'm using an iphone 6s.4/5 bars of service. Talk, text, data work fine for the most part, just these delayed texts. On the $25/500 MB plan.

@shannoncox3 maybe turn off iMessage and see if the texts come in.

This is likely not the issue, but is your data turned on all the time. Is it possible, they are coming late as they are not being sent as text messages or being sent as mms which requires data to be enabled.

I turned imessage off about a month ago and no change.
