Running Android 9 and Googles SMS app I am getting duplicate text messages today.

Anyone else experiencing this or is it just me?

I have Android 10 and have not experienced this issue.

I recommend updating your Google SMS app just in case. It may be a temporary issue, it has happened before to all carriers at one time or another. If the issue persists, you should reach out to a moderator.

Android 10 AOSP, Google SMS app with RCS enabled. No duplicate text problem here.

App is up to date. RCS on.

Figured I'd check if the issue was across the board before clearing my app and bugging the mods.

Hi,

I'm assuming that you're not going in and out of recepetion, or that you don't have wifi and data on at the same time?

Having both on has resulted in duplicate messages on my old carrier. Public mobile does not have wifi calling so I only keep one connection on.

I'm not sure if this helps, but could give it a try if problem persists. Hope you work it out!
