You can make a LD call from Canada but you need 400 LD add-on which you can add for free for new and existing customers for a one time Christmas bonus gift. You need to have an existing talk plan.

International calling covers the following countries: Canada, United States, China, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Italy, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom, and Venezuela

Absolutely. But it depends on the plan you have. on a few of the plans US calling is included in the local calling. If it is not included in your plan you can use an add on.

Alternatively, if you have data and do not want to use an add on you can call via skype of FB messanger 🙂

Assuming the plan doesn't including calling to the U.S. the 400 minute international long distance is not a requirement. The 200 minute long distance add-on will work just fine, although the 400 minute minute add-on is being provided for free currently to all customers.

@mfizz55 sure, if the other person you want to call is a FB contact of yours and uses Messenger. Doesn't help if you want to dial a regular US phone number.

However, there is Hangouts, Skype, Fongo, and others that can dial US phone number, most/all of those will do it for free as well.
