I can tell you for sure that Visa Debit from TD works. There have been some reports of virtual debit not working. However, the whole idea of accepting Visa Debit is that it's supposed to be universal.

The knowledge base refers to Canadian and US financial institutions for credit cards. It's safe to assume the same condition applies to Visa debit cards.

@Misaabe Visa Debit cards that have been issued by Canadian or American financial institutions and are associated with addresses in Canada or the U.S. If you are using a payment card, leave the apartment/suite number in the payment information section blank.

I have four different Visa debit cards and all of them have been accepted by public mobile. I think that as long as its Canadian general Visa debit it will be accepted.

@jaydiggins Public Mobile's payment is finicky. Yes it says it accepts credit cards and visa prepaid.. but prepared your card might be rejected with no rhymn or reason.. as with anything Public Mobile it is useful to have a backup payment method available just in case.

Very few. I have four Visa debit cards and none of them work (TD, RBC, Tangerine, Simplii). I have tried many many times with no success, have to resort to credit every time.
