I just created my account and activated my SIM card. when is the unlock code required when porting from BELL?

@pammac when you put your public mobile in the phone it will ask you for the unlock code if it's locked and not an iPhone. IPhones get unlocked by Apple and don't use a code

Unlock code isn't needed to port a number. It is only needed if phone is locked to Bell. Phone won't work until phone is unlocked but sim can be put in a different phone.
