I am already enrolled for auto payment option to pay my monthly invoices. If I going to add on US roaming for text for $8, do I just add to my account and will my credit card will be changed automatically? Explain the steps.

first you must put the funds into your account then you actually have to buy the add on no matter which one you chose it is a 2 step process

No, you have to manually pay. Autopay is only for plan fees.
