I am not sure why they didn't announce this yet.

We want to trade you a useful SIM card in exchange for your useless things, which we can then use in our ads. Everyone wins.

How it works

Social Swap

Take a picture of something you find useless and tag us @publicmobile and hashtag it #SIMswap on Twitter or Instagram. Don’t forget to make sure your accounts are set to public first. On Facebook, just post the photo on our wall. We'll then reach out with a unique URL where you can order your SIM, and we can use your useless item in our ads. Plus, you'll get a little surprise. A good surprise though, we promise.

Physical Swap

Find us on any of these trading networks, and we'll arrange a meet up where you can give us your useless item, we'll give you a useful SIM card, and yes, you'll get a little surprise. And yes, it will also be a good surprise.

Are you sure it is currently active? Seems pretty weird to me but I like it almost enough to get a Facebook account.

Wonder how/where the physical swap will work? I've got lots of useless stuff!

Yup, people are already tweeting, facebooking and instagraming lol

You can click on the cragslist/kijiji icon and it will take you to the post. It might have some details.

Disappointing...

I remember my first couple SIM cards... I got free from the site. I might not have gone with PM if it wasn't for that...

Anyways, thanks. I've ordered 2 and will probably end up ordering 2 more. (You know, so I can hook people on PM and get that 'bonus'. 😉 )

Long term goal, get my montly service for free... ~~hehe~~

There is no official sim card promotion right now. You'lre going to have to pay the $10 (plus taxes) for each. I can see someone you know offering a a free sim here or there, but I can't see 10 happening.
