text message won't come through

I am trying to get a code from facebook messenger but text will not come through to phone. powered down, texted to it and from it all it good. any thoughts?

@hanlintk some short code text don't work with public mobile. I read that they are gonna update the short code list in the next few weeks so hopefully they'll add Facebook

Is it to verify phone number? See if they have alternate method like calling you with the code.

@hanlintk Did you recently port your number over from another provider? If yes, then access your FB account via a browser and do the setup again.
