I have similar problem. I can send but not receive a text on my phone. But the recieved text will show on my ipad. I have an iphone SE. This happens when I have both wife and data turned off on my phone.

@88cranston are you sure that's not an iMessage that you can't receive? IMessage uses data or wifi to send and receive, text doesn't use anything but cell service. The reason you can send one with data and wifi off is it sends it as a text and not as an iMessage

What type of phone are you using?

Did it ever work?

Do you have another phone to try the SIM on?

Porting doesn't do anything to outgoing texts. Incoming would be the problem.

I have an iPhone SE, I took the number from PM (no porting). I had wifi off and cellular off on my iPhone. I texted in a green bubble to my grandsons iPhone number and his reply came to my iPad, iMac, and MacBook and NOT my iPhone in a blue bubble.

Moved from Telus to PM a few weeks ago.

I rarely texted so don’t know. Was so happy to have unlimited texting ☹️☹️

imessage over wifi works flawlessly.

Oops, my bad. Must have read it wrong. I should refrain from trying to help when sick/tired. 😛
