Question about system maintenance

I've always thought that the system maintenance they do on Sunday mornings were to fix or upgrade the computer systems that manage the billing/plans but today when they announced system maintenance people started posting that it might be to fix the 15$ plan problems and or the calls dropping problem so my question is what is system maintenance for? Maybe someone can answer my question! Thanks

@GR Unfortunately, no one knows an answer to your question. But i sure do know that they do maintenance to improve the system. With exactly what, they do not provide any details. All we can do is observe the community and see if reported problems have been solved or not. Sometimes, you might find visible changes in your account, but even then they do not provide us with a report.

Just like for software updates, it's for bug fixes and performance improvements. My worry is the introduction of new bugs and breaking what used to work.
