It appears only when i enable the data setting on my phone. All voice calling and texting work as they should and i have no data plan. It disappears when i turn off data. Is there a way of getting rid of it other than switching off data. Ie: perhaps something in the settings. I initially used the apn settings provided by pm when setting up. Thanks

You might not be able to get rid of the notification other than disabling data on your device. This is because on some phones, the APN settings cannot be changed. However, on most phone, using the settings to disable data will make it so that you cannot send or receive MMS.

Not a big deal but a little irritating nonetheless. The only plans that don't have data are the $10 and $15 plans. However if you are on auto pay the $15 plan comes with a bonus 250 mb of data. If you were a customer on or before August 19th you also got a bonus 1gb of roll over data. It's worth double checking your account to see if either of these apply.
