You should report the lost phone.

For the new phone try the lost/stolen feature. Log in to self-serve. Plan & Add-Ons from top menu. Lost/Stolen Phone from next menu. Suspend Service button. Log out. Wait a few minutes. Log back in and back to Lost/Stolen Phone and Resume Service this time. Log out. Restart phone. You could potentially lose any rewards that have. Also try adding a $1 payment. If you need to contact a moderator then click on the question mark on the bottom right to submit a ticket using Simon.

I assume you had also got a new SIM card too? Have you paired the SIM card to your son's account via selfserve? If not log ino and change the SIM card to the 19 digit of your son's new SIM card #. You need to do that in order for the SIM card to work.

It sounds like your iPhone is already unlocked.

HOW TO CHANGE YOUR SIM CARD #

If you can, try the new sim in a phone that works with Public Mobile, this way you will be able to rule out SIM issue versus phone issue.
