      <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes, WCDMA is the FDD version of UMTS (the most popular 3G technology in the world). UMTS shares the same core network as GSM, but it's a different technology. You should set your phone to Auto. If you absolutely want to force it, go with WCDMA or WCDMA/LTE. Forcing it to GSM only will result in no service.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The TDD version of UMTS is TD-SCDMA. It's used by China Mobile.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The other, competing technology is CDMA Ev-DO.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
