Cannot hear callers on my cellphone

Hi, I have new or refurbished version of an M9 from China. I cannot hear anyone that I call but they can hear me just fine. Any suggestions about what might be causing this? Thanks.

You can try to put your SIM card in another phone. To determine whether it is a hardware issue versus Public mobile issue.

Try rebooting your phone. Maybe network reset.

@Nuggetbv More than likely a hardware issue with your phone.

you can try speakerphone or bluetooth headset. see if that makes a difference.

Is if new or is it refurbished? If it's refurbished, speaker might not be repaired properly.

If I turn on speakerphone, I can hear callers, but unfortunately, so can everyone else nearby. Still can't hear callers on the regular speaker.

Sorry to say it means your regular speaker is defective.
You can use headset or replace the phone.

Call youself using another phone does that work? Put your phone on speaker does that work? Could be a defective phone.

No, it doesn't sound loud enough when Icall myself, or if anyone else calls me. Speaker phone option works though.
