trip down east?

Father in-law is taking a trip down east(Novascotia) he has an old plan here with only province wide calling. Can some one direct me what add on can be purchased so he could have talk or text while down east?

Just purchase the $5/500 Canada wide minutes add-on for him. This add-on will stay on the account until used up.

You can also look at the $15 plan with 100 minutes outgoing and unlimited incoming plus unlimited international text plus 250mb data bonus if signed up for autopay. All minutes are Canada wide on this plan. And still add the $5/500 add-on so he doesn't run out of outgoing calls.

He may want to consider upgrading to one of the newer plans.
These include Canada-wide calls and texting from-Canada-to-anywhere.

The $15 plan will give him 100 minutes of outgoing calls, unlimited incoming calls & texting plus 250 MB of bonus data.

The $25 plan will give him unlimited calls & texting plus 1 GB of data.

He'll be able to call locally, in whichever province he happens to be in.

If he wants to call back home, he'll need a Canada wide plan or the previously suggested $5/500 minutes of Canada wide calling.

Texting won't be limited by location....long as he stays in Canada, that is !!

Why not just download Textnow on his phone?...he'll just need a wifi connection.

Textnow: you'll get an actual phone number for free calls, text, voicemail. Basically same as a paid plan but works on wifi and is free.

Or as other poster stated. $5 / 500 minute add on.

Or plan upgrade.

And the 500 minutes for $5 add-on will only be consumed when needed for example for calling a different province from the one he is in at that moment. Unused minutes will remain in his plan for ever or until completely used up.

But there could be better deals than what he has now that include canada wide calling. Switching plans is easy on the Self Serve site.

$5/500 add-on (which will remain on his account until used up... this $5 add-on is not a monthly charge) or he could do a plan change to a canada wide plan.
