Is it absolutely necessary to purchase the SIM card online for this promotion or can you just purchase the SIM card and activate online? Seems to be an unnecessary wait to activate the SIM to have to wait for its arrival.

It doesn't matter where you get the sim card, only that it is activated online. In-store activations are not eligible for this offer.

Awesome I didn't want to wait for the SIM card as it's more advantageous for me to activate in the next few days. So purchase the SIM card, activate online and put in the promo code RBCREWARDS. I noticed pm does not have the requirement to use an rbc card to pay...so any credit card should suffice for auto pay. Minimum $40 plan to qualify for the discount.

Shorty after this promotion started, the terms on the Public Mobile website were updated to reflect a requirement for the customer to pay with one of the specific Royal Bank credit cards.

Am I missing something or is there a different link to the offer with those updated terms? I just checked again. There is no mention of having to use a rbc card.
