Is it possible to sign up for a short term plan. Say 4 months?

That is the advantage of prepaid, no contract. Perfect for short term needs.

If you sign up for autopay, just make sure to remove autopay information, when you want your account to stop. Then your account will be suspended. Once suspended for 90 days, then your phone number and plan will be lost forever.

@LukasWillfors technically all plans on Public Mobile are short term plans because none of the plans have a contract. All you need to do is stop making payments and your plan will cancel/de-activate on its own I believe after 3 months of no payments, or if you port your number to another provider (whichever comes first).

As the others mentioned that's the beauty of Public Mobile, you pretty much have full control and don't have to worry about any cancellation fees. So pick a plan, make your payments until you no longer need the plan, and then just forget about it, it'll cancel on its own, you don't need to contact anyone to cancel it (even if you port the number, just complete the port and forget about it).

@LukasWillfors Yes You can cancel any time. There is no contract. You pay in advance, and when the 30 or 90 days is up you either pay again to continue, or simply stop paying and move on.Also, if you set up Auto Pay, please turn it off if you don't want to use with PM anymore.

So to technically, literally answer your question...no.

I sometimes think of this place running as a recurring 30 day contract. The terms being that you pay for a service and they provide the service (with terms therein)...for 30 days.

You can take a plan 30 days or 90 days at a time, but if you stop needing it, no refunds for not using it part way into the cycle.

There is no pay-per-use offering at Public Mobile. A plan must be signed up for to become a customer.
