Not receiving text messages

I have an Android phone and use Textra as my messaging app. I have not been receiving text messages from all providers (Bell/MTS, Telus, Rogers). It's random sometimes I receive and sometimes I don't. I tried uninstalling Textra and re installing it. Anyone else know what could be causing this?

@AshleyB16 Uninstall Textra and use the native app that came with your phone. If it works then the problem is with Textra.

It seems to be working better now. But I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem?? I know Textra did an upgrade and it seemed to not be working after that.

@AshleyB16 hi yea the same thing started happening to me after the upgrade I got rid of it now all is good

Third party messaging apps can be variable in results. Subsequent updates can break things while fixing others. Whenever they act up, revert to native SMS app.
