      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have a similar situation, however I do not get long distance charges. It depends on the city the phone was connected in. For example we purchased and connected in Toronto but would have to dial 1 before calling outside the GTA. Check to see what tower the called phone would be linked to. Hope this helps.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
