And what's the source?

If it's a list of frequencies supposedly used by the Telus network, it's wrong. The Telus/Bell network DOES NOT include GSM / 2G frequencies. The Telus /Bell network is 3G and up.

The only network that supports GSM 2G in Canada (until next year) is Rogers and their subsidiaries and affiliates (Fido, ChatR, cityphone/Zoomer, SpeakOut/PetroCan Mobility)

I'm noticing a severe degradation of data quality on the HSPA network, both in ping time and in actual speeds, no matter the time of day. Do you know if it's possible that Bell/Telus could possibly be turning off the DC component of the network (I'm in Ontario)?

662 and 687 should both be active for Band 2 DC-HSPA.

It could have something to do with the area then, although that doesn't explain why this is recent and why my HSPA slowdowns happen even in the middle of the night. The reason for me wondering about DC-HSPA has to do wtih the speeds normally being in the range of 15 to 35Mbps to suddenly being no more than 5 or 6Mbps starting a few weeks ago, regardless of the time of day or night.
