Is Cubot X15 work with our Network?

So I'm usually pretty tech savvy however my brain has failed me lol, I stumbled across this phone which and I'm not sure if it will work with our Network, so here is it's bands:

Brand:
2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz
3G: WCDMA 900/1900/2100MHz
4G: FDD-LTE B1/B3/B7/B20

Hopefully one of you super tech mayors can answer this question for me 🙂

Not a Mayor but the following is mashed together from posts by @Cyber and @Martin

Telus/Koodo/Public Mobile frequency are :

3G UMTS/HSDPA = (850MHz / 1900MHz) aka Bands 5/2

4G LTE Band 4 = (2100MHz / 1700MHz) aka paired together Band 4

4G LTE-Advanced = 700MHz (LTE-A apparently justt launched by Telus/Bell) aka Band 17

Can you please provide us with the phone and its model your are to get, so we can be able to determine whether it will work or not.

Regarding the 2G and 3G freqs on this phone it will work with PM, but when it comes to 4G LTE the phone support 2100/1800/2600/800. That doesn't match the frequency PM provide. So I will suggest you try to use

http://www.willmyphonework.net/ and check if this phone is compatible or not.

This website is amazing thank you, and it does not work if anyone else is ever wondering, however it works on other other 2 big ones Rogers and Bell but I will not ever be changing over to them lol

Well, Perhaps Telus should expand their Band Frequencies a bit more, so that maybe a few more Handset varieties can be rendered compatible. This way, Reducing the # of Incompatible handsets from that list even further, To a Certain degree

Perhaps @Martin can have a look to confirm, but I believe

Kristine's 3G: WCDMA 900/1900/2100MHz is not the same as

PM's 3G UMTS/HSDPA = (850MHz / 1900MHz) aka Bands 5/2

So her her conclusion seems correct to me.

Helllo,

The phone is missing 3G 850 MHz (Band 5). It won't function on PM's network.

I just want to point out something based on my research on telus bands and freqs I found that Telus provide:

3G : 850MHz / 1900MHz

4G( which is shared with 3G) : 850MHz / 1900MHz

4G+ (separated) or LTE-A : 700/1700 MHZ

so 4G is over 1700 / 2100 MHZ is not correct.

Hello,

If the phone is missing one of the frequencies it does not mean it will not work, It can still work as far as long as there is at least one frequency that both phone and network support

**please note that many networks work on 2 or more frequencies, typically a high and a low ones. If a phone can use one of the frequencies and not the other, you will get service, but coverage and/or signal strength may be reduced.

I agree with your statement.

You used "may" twice when referencing crucial aspects, such as service, coverage, and signal strength.

Personally, I prefer to tell a customer that one's phone is incompatible, rather than qualifying its usage on PM as you did.

Martin I agree with you. I just edited my post regarding service and coverage.

It's important to let them know if the phone is fully compatible or not.
