Maybe it's all numbers. Right now 25$ talk and text but changed it to the data plan the other day once my other plan is up

Sometimes it happens. Mothers Day, Christmas, Fathers Day, ticket buying.

Could have been network maintenance or tower going down causing over capacity issue. You will likely never find out. It's good it's working again.
