Hi, if international texting is included in my plan, is it required to purchase US roaming? Can I activate it in the States since I am going for more than 10 days.

The only requirement I could find in the supplied fine print is you need talk to get talk.

Yes you can buy add-ons anywhere you have an internet connection. (611 in Canada too)

@Rusticbackyard, the US roaming add-ons start immediately upon completing the purchase. There are no means to delay the start. If you want you could activate while in the US. If you are doing it online, make sure you have access to the internet. If you are staying more than 10 days and want to repurchase an add-on, you must let the first purchase expire before buying the next. The system will not make an add-on available for purchase until the first purchase expires. The international texting is only for use in Canada while connected to the Public Mobile network.
