If I switch plans now and mine isn’t up till the 29th and it’s on autopay will I be charged twice?

No. It you switch today, you next renewal date will be 30 days from today.

Just let it do the switch at that renewal time and you're golden. (unless you're downgrading) You won't be charged twice.

If you switch plans now you forefit anything remaining. Basically you start a new plan and start your 30 day cycle.

Futuredating a change is the way to go unless you run out of data.

Using the Simon chatbot (bottom right had corner), type "Future date plan". You'll see options and step-by-step instructions. Good luck.
