How to start 2 accounts the best way for maximum savings?

My wife and I are switching to PM. What is the best way to get started so we save the most on our monthly bill? We will both start with the $30 unlimited call/text and 500 meg/month data. I would do 90 day so we both get 1.5 gig over 3 months. Can we recommend each other so we get the bonus accociated with the recommend a friend? Are there any other promos/deals/tricks for max savings?

At the present time, there is only one special promotion, the $25 friend referral for both parties. You need to buy yourself 2 SIM card from either online or one of the vendors (like Walmart, WOW mobile, London drugs) and do at home, online activation.

1st line needs a friend referral phone number. The 1st line will get $25 credit within 72 hours. The 1st line then can act as friend referral for 2nd line. Then both lines will get $25. Thus, 1st line with get total of $50 credit (with ongoing $1/month credit), while 2nd line just gets $25.

EDIT: this special promo ends on September 13, so probably ordering online is too late to get the SIm cards on time. With this promo, need to do activation at home, not instore.

Is it possible for my wife and I to recommend each other as a friend so we both get the bonus or do you need an established active account.

@TWoolman you might want to think of getting the 4.5 gb for 40 for the first month and futuredate the 90 day plan. This way you can see how much data you use. Or do the 30 day 500 Mb. The go to the 90 day plan.

Walmart is hit and miss for giving sim cards without activations so I would try one of the other retail stores. If you don't have a referral message someone in the forums to get a number.

You need an established account (ie. active public mobile phone number) for the 1st friend referral....
