As @Anonymous mentioned the IEM checker isn't good try using willmyphonework.net

Also as @Anonymous said there is no reason to pay for the whole year in advance but you could add the funds for an entire year to account if you want. I would still recommend registering for autopay even if you do this because they will knock of 2 bucks per 30 days. Even if it charges the funds from your account instead of the credit card you will still get the discount

HI.

I am going to purchase a Polaroid A300 flip. I do not use cell phone much but want one in case of emergency. Your minimum plan would be enough for me.However, If I pay for a year in advance would I be able to retain the phone number that you give me or would I be getting a new # each month?

Thanks

Glen

@Glen_R, once you get a number (or you can bring an existing number with you), you get to keep it as long as you pay for your service. If you stop paying for your service, you loose the phone number 90 days after the last day the service was active. Also, there is no need to pay for the year in advance. If you take a 30 day plan, you only need to pay every 30 days. With a 90 day plan, you only need to pay every 90 days. If you chose to use auto-pay, the system will take the payment automatially from your credit card o nthe due date.

Please ensure that your phone is sompatible with Public Mobile before signing up. The IMEI check on the Public Mobile web site is NOT reliable for this purpose. If the phone has 850 & 1900, I think you should be OK.
