topped up and still says "no long distance" tho of course i know i have no LD and im not phoning LD

Have you tried (or are you) adding a "1" in front of the number you are dialing to see if it helps?

If the call went through, ignore it. Sometimes when you dial in province number, it might trigger the system to tell you about it.

@wantph, is this a newly activated account that is behaving this way? There are instances when an account is created, the calling feature provisioning goes off the rails, resulting in the noted system response to calls being made. Pardon Me....but isn't that kind of racist? I think more respect should be shown regardless of the colour of a persons skin or anything else for that matter.
