I was wondering how I get a plan for going away to Punta Cana for a week? Suggestions?

PM only offers roaming in the US. You could buy a local Sim or use apps like Skype, Fongo, or TextNow to make calls and text using WiFi.

I've used a free app called TextNow and as long as you have wifi, it works as good as a normal cell call and it's free to text or call back home with.

Jus as @Triguy says...there's no Public Mobile Roaming Add-on for anywhere other than USA.

Hi, I have purchased TELCEL sim cards at local OXXO convenience stores in Mexico for $39(aprox $2.80CA) pesos. Then add a " Amigo Sin Limite" 15 days of Unlimted Talk/Text Mexico,USA,Canada with Data for $100 pesos (aprox $7CA). You will need an unlocked phone. Buen viaje.
